About
The CQMS Story
CQMS started life in Mackay in the state of Queensland, Australia in 1979. Known then as Central Queensland Mining Supplies, it began a long relationship with the open-cut coal industry of the region. As the coal industry grew, so did CQMS. A continuing business philosophy of unparalleled service and a commitment to unending product innovation ensured CQMS would become a trusted supplier to the mining industry.
During the 1990s CQMS embarked on a research and development program to develop better, more productive dragline buckets. Its success in this field, coupled with a matchless before and after-sales service culture saw CQMS grow to become the premier supplier of dragline buckets and rigging packages to the Australian dragline industry.
At the same time, CQMS was expanding its market reach with the establishment and acquisition of companies supporting other regions and mining markets. These included Razer Industries, the Mason & Cox/Hensley Aust./PAC Mining companies, Walkers Foundry and CQM&E. Today all these businesses have been combined to form the CQMS Group.
CQMS today offers targeted solutions for draglines, mobile and fixed plant in mining and materials processing applications around the world.
